I have been in living in this city for 2 years but I felt that it has only been recently that I really started “living.” Thus, it is immensely appropriate that I start this new blog to document my “newfound life.”
I always thought that here in the US, San Francisco would always be home to me. It is true that I love its architecture, the ease of public transport, the cool climate and the weird people. But I just went there last week and felt that I was not so in love with the city as I initially thought. Everything that I used to love out there has gotten old and bland. I couldn’t wait to get back to LA.
I don’t always believe in sayings, but I think this is true for the moment: “Home is where the heart is.” So Los Angeles is my home.

Hi Gracie! I totally share your sentiments. True home would always be where our families are but somehow, I feel at home where I am now. I never really thought that I would feel at home here in Tokyo but I did and still does. and just like what you said, until my wandering soul takes me to another place.
